The Cosmo global buffet restaurant in Reading town centre could be demolished to make way for flats.
Developers the Shaviram Group have unveiled a plan to replace 35-39 Friar Street with 103 apartments.
The building is the current home of Cosmo – which would have to vacate the premises if plans progress.

Designs for the new apartments show new tower blocks with balconies and restaurant space on the ground floor.
Above, new residents would benefit from rooftop gardens.
Shaviram Group has stated that its development would be “the final piece of the Station Hill jigsaw puzzle”.
Station Hill is currently being redeveloped, with construction work taking place to build 1,200 flats in the town centre.

A plan for Shaviram Group’s 103 flat development has not been submitted yet, but the company has begun a pre-application consultation process.

A webinar will also be held from 7pm to 8.30pm on Thursday, March 3, which can be registered for using the link above.
A recording of the webinar will be uploaded on the development website after the event.
The current building was also the home of the 9Round kickboxing gym, which has since shut down.
The gym in Reading was 9Rounds only boxing gym outside London prior to its closure.
