A knifeman has admitted slashing a teenager in the head.
Armed with a folding knife, George Hassall, 22, left his 18-year-old victim with four stab wounds to her hand and three to her head during the attack in Coley Park, Reading, on November 24 last year. The woman’s injuries were said at the time to be non-life threatening.
Appearing before Oxford Crown Court on Monday afternoon via prison video link, Hassall, formerly of Harts Lane, Burghclere, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.
His barrister, Ailsa Williamson, told the judge that her client realised he would be sentenced in due course to a lengthy prison sentence.
Recorder John Bate-Williams remanded him into custody to return to court on March 24 for sentence.
