A girl under the age of five was rushed to hospital yesterday (Tuesday) after a car and two pedestrians collided in Reading.
The second pedestrian, a man in his thirties, was also taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital with broken ribs.
A 33-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of driving without due care and attention and driving a vehicle with a proportion of a specific controlled drug above the specified limit.

He is also under suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled class A drug and being in possession of a controlled class A drug, in connection with this incident.
A black Vauxhall Corsa collided with a speed camera during the collision on Northumberland Avenue, near to the junction with Callington Road.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred at around 8.20am.
Investigating officer, PC Tom Dickinson, based at Three Mile Cross said: “I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it to please get in touch.
“I would also like to hear from anybody who was in the area and may have dash-cam footage from the collision to please contact us by making a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43220102091.”
