Retailer Next is set to close a store for good in Reading.
Its shop in Calcot will shut permanently on Saturday but they will continue trading in the Oracle.
The Next website lists their last closing time as 7pm.
Rumours circulated on social media that B&M could replace the store but the company did not respond to a request for comment.
Resident’s posted their reactions to the news on Reddit.

“It's been a long time coming, but I'm gutted,” posted one user.
Another said: “Not very suprising, it’s always pretty empty in there.”
“Bit of a shame really, as that was the easiest store to get in/tackle the Next Sale,” an account said.
