The following cases were heard at Reading and Slough Magistrates’ Court:

HARRY MARSH, 30, of Kennedy Drive, Pangbourne, convicted of two counts of assault by beating, and using violence to secure entry to a property in Reading on March 3, 2021. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 18 months. Requirement to carry out 100 hours of community work. Must pay compensation of £400 and £903 in court fees.
MARTIN O’NEIL, 47, of Carters Rise, Calcot, convicted of failing to give information about a driver suspected of committing an offence in Banbury on July 14, 2021. Fined £400 and made to pay £125 in court fees. Given six points on driving licence.
JOSHUA SHARPE, 25, of Delane Driver, Winnersh, convicted of failing to protect a kitten and a puppy from suffering in Yateley on January 23, 2021 and Southampton on December 8, 2020 respectively. Committed to prison for 24 weeks suspended for 22 months. Requirement to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work and take part in up to 40 rehabilitation activity days. Must pay compensation of £1,000. Banned from keeping animals for ten years.
OMER MALIK, 38, of Lamerton Road, Reading, convicted of driving a taxi without a licence in Caversham on March 8, 2019. Fined £100 and made to pay £1,030 in court fees.
WILLIAM LANG, 63, of Galsworthy Drive, Caversham, Reading, admitted speeding on A4155 in Shiplake on April 25, 2021. Recorded speed was 35mph in a 30mph zone. Fined £100 and given three points on driving licence.
REECE COLLIS, 27, of Coley Avenue, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a fare in Reading on September 7, 2021. Fined £220, must pay compensation of £4.20 and ordered to pay £214 in court fees.
LAURA DRAKE, 30, of Sloane Close, Goring, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a fare in Reading on August 27, 2021. Fined £220, must pay compensation of £12.00 and ordered to pay £214 in court fees.
ROBERT GREEN, 31, of Hermitage Green, Thatcham, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a fare in Reading on September 15, 2021. Fined £220, must pay compensation of £9.60 and ordered to pay £214 in court fees.
MARK LEWINGTON, 29, of The Oaks, Newbury, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a fare in Reading on September 12, 2021. Fined £220, must pay compensation of £9.60 and ordered to pay £214 in court fees.
CHARLOTTE MCGUIRE, 28, of Stirling Close, Caversham, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a fare in Bramley on September 22, 2021. Fined £220, must pay compensation of £7.10 and ordered to pay £214 in court fees.
KENNY MORGAN, 31, of Whatcombe House, Newbury, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a fare in Reading on September 8, 2021. Fined £220, must pay compensation of £7.30 and ordered to pay £214 in court fees.
THOMAS SPIRES, 33, of Keats Road, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a fare in Reading on September 20, 2021. Fined £220, must pay compensation of £3.00 and ordered to pay £214 in court fees.
TOBY STEWART, 24, of Beech Lane, Woodcote, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a fare in Reading on September 6, 2021. Fined £220, must pay compensation of £26 and ordered to pay £214 in court fees.
NIKITA TREMAIN, 19, of Staverton Treman, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a fare in Reading on August 30, 2021. Fined £220, must pay compensation of £26.60 and ordered to pay £214 in court fees.
CHAI YUHANG, 24, of Shinfield Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid a fare in Reading on August 27, 2021. Fined £220, must pay compensation of £6.80 and ordered to pay £214 in court fees.
