A woman in her twenties who ‘fell’ from a bridge above the IDR has sadly died.
Police confirmed her passing following a ‘fear for welfare’ incident on February 16.
Officers responded after it was reported that a woman ‘fell’ from a bridge above the A329 Inner Distribution Road shortly after 1.30 pm.

She was rushed to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with multiple 'life-threatening' injuries, the South Central Ambulance Service said.
The following day, Thames Valley Police confirmed she was in a ‘critical condition’.
Now, the force said the woman involved in the incident has sadly passed away.

A TVP spokesperson said: “Following a fear for welfare on 16 February on the IDR in Reading, Thames Valley Police can confirm that a woman in her 20s sadly passed away.
“A file has been prepared and this is now a matter for the coroner.
“Our thoughts remain with the woman’s family at this difficult time”.
Thames Valley Police did not reveal the identity of the deceased.
