Rupert & Orion

Reading Chronicle:

Reading Chronicle:

Rupert and Orion are looking for a home together as they are very close.

Rupert is quite laid back and a steady character, and is keen to potter around and sniff out any treats going spare. Orion is a little more worried and reserved and takes confidence and guidance from Rupert.

Both dogs love food. Rupert likes playing with tennis balls and Orion will have a game on his own or with Rupert. They have some basic training in place already and travel well in the car for short journeys. They are very sweet and affectionate and enjoy going for walks.

Deuby

Reading Chronicle:

Deuby the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a gentle dog looking for a loving retirement home where he can relax and have a gentle fuss with his people.

Deuby does not need lots of exercise and is quite content with a short lead walk and some opportunities to sniff and mooch around the garden. He has shown to be a little intolerant of other dogs but is quite happy keeping to himself.

Emma

Reading Chronicle:

Emma is a very nervous Greyhound that will need plenty patience to settle in a home environment.

She is showing nice, sweet snippets of her personality slowly coming out and will need owners who understand that she will need a lot of time to come out of her shell.

Sally

Reading Chronicle:

Sally is a confident and vibrant Greyhound who has a real zest for life. She will need owners who have had experience with Sighthounds previously and understand the breed and their traits, as she shows a high case drive with smaller dogs and wildlife.

Flo

Reading Chronicle:

Flo is an energetic young Lurcher who enjoys interacting with people and other dogs. Once bonded she enjoys fuss from her known people and will seek interaction with them, and she is fun and engaging.

Ellie

Reading Chronicle:

Ellie is a friendly Bulldog who is looking for a calm and quiet home to make her own. She is looking for owners who will allow her plenty of time to settle into her new environment and will respect her boundaries.

Daisy

Reading Chronicle:

Daisy is an energetic and incredibly lively 10 month old puppy.

She has shown through her behaviours that she will need experienced owners who have owned Huskies previously and have a robust understanding of the breed and their needs.

Harriet

Reading Chronicle:

This sweet little dog finds life a little overwhelming. She's looking for owners that have experience with dogs and are prepared to continue with her training to help her overcome her worries and grow her confidence.

She's a Lurcher and once she's settled and comfortable, she is a typical active and lively young dog.

Roxy

Reading Chronicle:

Roxy is a very affectionate dog and loves being with people. She likes a tummy tickle and will try to climb onto your lap for a fuss.

She is however uncomfortable with some aspects of being handled such as having a harness put on or visits to the vets, and she is looking for very experienced owners who are confident to both continue her training but also manage certain aspects of her behaviour and not expect too much of Roxy.

Benny

Reading Chronicle:

Benny is a young, excitable Foxhound who, typical of his breed, likes the sound of his own voice. He is a very fun dog to be around and is super bright, and is looking for experienced owners who are used to similar breeds.

Ruby

Reading Chronicle:

Ruby is a very affectionate, loving and intelligent Blue Greyhound. She is spending some time in a foster home where she has settled well, is housetrained and travels well in the car.

Perry

Reading Chronicle:

Perry is a young lively dog and is not the finished article just yet. He is looking for a home to continue his training and further develop his life skills.

He can become quite excitable and forget his manners at times. In saying this, the staff here have done really well at putting in place some training methods that we can pass onto new owners.

Alan

Reading Chronicle:

Alan is a full of life dog with lots of love to give. He will need owners with knowledge of the Sighthound breed and their behaviours and traits.

Alan is spending some time in a foster home and he is incredibly affectionate. He likes to lay his head on his foster carer's lap to have a fuss, but will also settle nicely on his bed when he has company. His foster carer describes him as a "superstar"!

Koby

Reading Chronicle:

Koby is a big sensitive American Bulldog, full of energy and affection with people he trusts. He is still young and will need a lot of ongoing training by whoever rehomes him.

Henry

Reading Chronicle:

Henry is a lively and active Lurcher- when he first meets new people he can be worried and a bit apprehensive, but when he gets to know you his loving and scatty side shines through - he absolutely loves curling up together with his bonded people.

Typical for his breed he likes a good chase, so for the foreseeable future, he will need to be muzzled and on lead when out for walks.
