A 24-year-old woman from Bristol was caught in Reading dodging a £115 rail fare.
Jennifer Pooles, of Regent Street, Kingswood, took a Great Western Railway train without paying for a ticket or intending to do so on September 15, 2021.

At Reading Magistrates Court on March 4, 2022, she was fined £440 and ordered to pay the fare price in compensation.
The judge ordered her to pay costs of £180 and a a surcharge to fund victim services of £44.
Pooles must pay the total sum, £779, by April 1.
