A POPULAR Indian restaurant in Reading has revealed it will be taking over a former pub in Caversham.
Clay's Hyderabadi Kitchen, in London Street, Reading, has announced on Twitter it is set to move.
The restaurant, which promises 'authentic Indian food' revealed it will soon be taking over the former Baron of Cadogan pub in Caversham.
A post online said: "Looks like the cat’s out of the bag. And yes, we did go and sign the lease for the Baron of Cadogan in Caversham.
"It will be Clay’s very soon. We needed some time to get in touch with few people and businesses personally before we posted anything about this.
"It’s a huge space compared to what we have now and we are planning some exciting things for it.
"We have always felt guilty that we could not provide the atmosphere or the ambience that our customers deserve and we hope to rectify this now."

The former pub site in Caversham put closed signs up recently, having been run as an independent pub for several year after being a Wetherspoon up until March 2019.
Clay's owners Nandana and Sharat said work is already underway to create the new restaurant space, after signing the lease on Tuesday, March 22.
The Twitter post from the pair said it will be calling on the public to help with the project, and will launch a kickstarter in the coming weeks.
Adding: "[We] hope to raise the funds needed to build something that makes Reading proud.
"We hope we don’t loose any of you due to this move and hope you wouldn’t mind crossing the bridge for us. Will be sharing more details soon."
