A MASSEUR who worked at Thames Lido is facing time behind bars after admitting to sexually assaulting multiple women at the urban retreat.
Toshihide Nukui, of Oaklands, Reading, also confessed to penetrating a client’s genitals while he was working as a private masseur at The Therapy Centre on Church Street.
The incidents occurred over a 11-month period and began when the 49-year-old sexually assaulted a female client by touching her inappropriately during an appointment at Thames Lido on November 13, 2018.

The same happened again with a different female customer on December 1, 2018, July 9, 2019 and September 14, 2019.
Reading Crown Court heard that the genitalia of the victim in the September incident was touched six times by the masseur.
Nukui admitted to four counts of sexual assault in relation to these incidents, which all occurred at the renovated pool and treatment centre on Napier Road, Reading.

He also pleaded guilty to assault by penetration after he digitally penetrated the genitalia of a client when he was working as a private masseur at The Therapy Centre in October 2019.
On Monday, March 28, Nukui was due to stand trial charged with a total of eight counts of sexual assault and one count of assault by penetration.
However, the trial was called-off after the Crown Prosecution Service accepted guilty pleas to four counts of sexual assault and one count of assault by penetration.
Lisa Jane Judge, defending, said: “This is a man who has never undertaken actions such as this.
“He comes from a Christian family and it is clear to me this is out of his normal behaviour.”

Her Honour Judge Real agreed to adjourn Nukui’s sentencing until July 12 so a pre-sentence report could be compiled.
She released Nukui on bail until this date, but warned him: “You should not read into that any promise about an outcome other than custody.”
Nukui made his pleas at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, March 29.
