RUNNERS gave it their all as they raced to the finish line at the Reading Half Marathon today (April 3).
In total, 3,602 runners took part in the event, which started at Green Park and finished at the Madejski Stadium.
Supporters were cheering for their family members and friends and they were also joined by world heavyweight boxing champion David Haye and Sir John Madejski.
This year was a special half marathon as the event celebrated its 40th running year.

The provisional results, according to Unleashed Performance, were:
MEN
1. James Connor 65:58
2. Ed Bovington 66:45
3. Neil Kevern 66:59
WOMEN
1. Kate Drew 74:36
2. Sarah Webster 77:24
3. Hayley Munn 77:54

Sir John Madejski said: "What a lovely day for the half marathon.
"It's been great, they all started off well and it's amazing to see, with just over an hour, that some of the front runners are coming back."
And Ed Bovington, who was the second male to cross the line, said: "It was really good, we had perfect weather for it, it was nice and cool, and I had a good pack of guys to run with, it was just a lovely day."
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Reading Half Marathon today, you did a great job!
