A sculptor has denied driving into another car while over the alcohol limit.
Jonathan Wylder, 64, is said to have been behind the wheel of a Jeep in Fairmile, Henley, on September 26 last year when he crashed into a parked vehicle. The charge recorded that he had allegedly ‘caused injury to others’.
Prosecutors claim he was over the drink-driving limit, alleging he had 142 milligrammes of alcohol in 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrammes in 100ml of blood.
Appearing before Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Monday wearing a white shirt, black suit jacket and blue jeans, Wylder, of Blackmore Lane, Sonning Common, pleaded not guilty to careless driving and drink driving.
The magistrates bailed him to return to court on August 15 for the trial.
