A MAN is suffering with serious head injuries after he was thrown onto the pavement outside a bar in Reading.

Police were called to Friar Street at around 1am on Sunday, April 3, following reports of an attack.

Detectives said a 25-year-old was thrown out of Wild Lime bar and then pushed by another man causing him to fall backwards and hit his head on the pavement.

He was taken to hospital with a serious head injury, where he remains at this time.

A 35-year-old man from Bracknell has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm and has been released on police bail.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Grace Dooey, based at Reading police station, is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

She said said: "I would be particularly keen to hear from anybody who may have been waiting in the queue at Wildlime to get in touch if you have any information that can help this investigation.

“I would also ask if anybody has captured the incident on mobile phone or dash-cam, to please call us."
