A woman in her twenties was rushed to hospital after being attacked with a glass bottle outside a Reading bar.
The incident occurred between 11.45pm and 12pm on Friday, April 15 outside Monkey Lounge on Erleigh Road.
A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the attack.
After being kicked to the ground, the victim suffered cuts to her face and neck and was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital for further treatment.
She has since been discharged and the the man remains in police custody.
Police have reported that CCTV footage shows several witnesses walking past and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack to get in touch.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Siobhan Bradley, based at Reading police station, said: “I would be particularly keen to hear from anybody who was driving in the area and may have dash-cam footage, or who witnessed the incident and have not yet spoken to police.
