Upper floor offices that were once used by the TSB bank in Reading town centre could be converted into flats.
The building TSB occupies is on the prominent Broad Street, Oxford Road and West Street junction.
Elsewhere, the owners of an apartment building in Caversham has applied to make alterations, and a new MOT business wants to take over a workshop in the Bell Tower Area near Reading train station.

Conversion of offices into flats in town centre (220519)
Thackeray Estates Reading Investments, the owners of 200-202 Broad Street, want to convert offices in the building into apartments.
The ground floor is currently occupied by TSB.
The first, second and third floors were previously used by TSB as offices but are now vacant.

Therefore, the developers want to convert these floors into apartments. Each floor would have three apartments.
Of these new dwellings, six would be one bedroom and three would have two bedrooms.
The plans include a residential lobby on the ground floor, and a new ‘class E unit’ on the ground floor and basement for commercial, business and service.
It is unclear what this means for TSB, but it could mean that the bank closes temporarily for works to be done.
A spokesperson said TSB has no plans for any changes at its Reading branch.
Altered plans for apartment building in Caversham (220471)
Here, Prospect Developments have applied to make alterations to the terraced apartment building at 106 Westfield Road.
The building currently has nine apartments, and the proposed alterations would bring that down to eight.
Once works are completed, there would be three two-bedroom flats, three one-bedroom flats, a three bedroom apartment and a two bedroom terraced house on site.

It is understood a one-bedroom apartment would be lost as part of the alterations.
The plan also involves building a single storey rear extension to provide living accommodation and a new parking layout to provide for eight car spaces and two visitor spaces.
Vacant workshop to be taken over by car service company (220356)
The the new MOT Centre Reading business has applied to take over the Reading Car Finance workshop at 181-183 Cardiff Road.
The unit is currently vacant, so the new MOT Centre Reading business wants to take it over and use it to service and MOT private cars, and vehicles owned by Green Metro Cars.
Green Metro Cars has over 100 vehicles and is one of the largest taxi businesses in Reading.
MOT Centre Reading has been contracted to service its vehicles.
Additionally, all facilities at the workshop will also be available to the public.
