Highly rated Arsenal Academy graduate Omari Hutchinson is set to be sent out on loan to Reading, according to reports.

The 18-year-old England Under-19 international is yet to make his debut in first team football but has impressed many in his appearances for the Gunners’ youth set up.

According to Football London, the Royals “remain confident of securing a loan move.”

The winger has notched six goals and six assists in under 20 appearances for the Gooners in PL2 and has been named on Mikel Arteta’s bench on multiple occasions so far this season.

Predominantly playing off of the left-hand side, Hutchinson has also scored twice in the Checkatrade Trophy and played a full 90 minutes in the FA Youth Cup.

Another key factor is that his agent is Kia Joorabchian.

Director of Sports Invest UK, the agency with starts such as Aston Villa’s Philippe Coutinho and Douglas Luiz, Joorabchian has long had a relationship with Royals owner Dai Yongge which has come under some scrutiny from fans and media over the last 12 months.

Other Reading players under his agency include Nelson Abbey and Mamadi Camara, as well as former striker Augustus McGiff and target Rodrigo Riquelme.

With Joorabchian “advising” the owner, it would not be out of the question to see Hutchinson enter the door at Bearwood this summer.
