A NEW kebab restaurant looks set to open in the town centre very soon.
Doner&Gyros, situated at the end of Oxford Road, is setting up where China Palace was formerly based.
A planning application to bring the eatery to Reading was submitted in January.

Now, the makeover of the store looks as if it is nearing completion, with a new shopfront installed.
'Coming soon' posters can be spotted and the store is also advertising jobs.
However, it is not yet known when the kebab shop will officially open.
Doner&Gyros has been contacted for comment.

With current sites in Aylesbury and London, the chain also has takeaways in America, Saudi Arabia, and India.
The chain emerged in 2014 and now has a ‘signficant presence’ in the United Arab Emirates.
Their menu includes doner kebabs, gyros, wraps, platters, salads, Berlin bowls, kids meals and sides.
