A TESCO security guard has reportedly been attacked and racially abused in an express store in Reading.
Thames Valley Police said it was called to the Market Place store shortly before 11pm on Friday, May 6.
The force said a man had assaulted and racially abused a security guard before leaving the shop.
A police spokesperson said: “A man matching the description given was detained on Broad Street and was found to be in possession of several bottles of alcohol, some of which had security tags on.
“A 35-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated harassment/alarm/distress with words and handling stolen goods. He was released under investigation."
