Around 500 people crammed into the Face bar in Reading on Saturday (May 14) to show their support for the Ukraine Disaster Crisis appeal.
A 56-year-old drummer from Reading has spend the last few months organising the event to raise money for the Red Cross Relief.
Peter Laschok, whose dad is from Ukraine was inspired to raise money after hearing of the devastating news of the Russian Invasion.
He said: “I was planning a trip to Ukraine with my brother and nephew to retrace my fathers heritage.

“He was born in Ukraine and arrived in the UK as a refugee after being taken out in WW2 so it’s something that is very close to my heart.
“I felt I needed to do something to help people in Ukraine that have been displaced and the Red Cross Relief do a lot to help over there.”
Four local bands played at the event where all proceeds went to the charity. The bands included The Highwasters, The Skangsters, Deckchairs and The Scavengers.
A tombola and raffle were also held on the night, alongside the entertainment.

Peter added: “There are so many people to thanks. Everyone just pulled together, and it turned out a big success.
“Everyone gave their time and effort for free so what we made on the night will all go towards the disaster crisis relief fund.”
