The Foods Standards agency has released their new food hygiene ratings for May 2022 and it’s five stars all round for Reading restaurants, bars, canteens and caterers.
Food premises are regularly reviewed to make sure hygiene, building safety and cleanliness are up to standard.
This month, eight restaurants have been reviewed so far, five of which have received the highest rating and three are waiting for publication of rating.

Here are the ratings of the catering premises that were given new food hygiene scores.
Rated 5 star: Sheriff Boathouse, a catering premises on Henley Road, Caversham was inspected on May 10 2022. They have received a standard of ‘very good’ for their food hygiene handling and ‘good’ for both cleanliness of facilities and management of food safety.
Rated 5 star: Aldermaston Recreational Society was inspected on April 27 2022. Their hygiene food handling and cleanliness was found to be ‘very good’ and their management of food safety was awarded the standard of ‘good’.
Rated 5 star: Connect Catering at Johnson Matthey Technology Centre was inspected on May 19 2022. The restaurant/café/canteen standards were all awarded a ‘good’ by the food hygiene inspector.

Rated 5 star: Caterlink at Emmer Green Primary School on Grove Road was inspected on May 11 2022. The school earned itself a standard of ‘good’ in all categories during it’s inspection this month.
Rated 5 star: Caterlink at The Lodge Day Nursary at Southcote Children’s Centre was inspected on April 29 2022. The caring premises on Coronation Square scored five food standards rating with their cleanliness and condition of the building found as being ‘very good’.
One Below, M Warsaw and Café Noir have been inspected in May and are waiting for their hygiene ratings to be published online.
