A thrilling charity football match has raised £1,200 for a local hospice charity offering palliative care.
Staff from Select car leasing made up the two 11-a-side teams and were captained by the companies directors, Mark Tongue and James O’Malley.
The match, which ended with James’ team claiming victory with a score of 7-3 was played at Reading FC’s Select Car Leasing stadium.
James said: “As a passionate Reading FC fan, to have the opportunity to play a match on this famous pitch is, quite simply, a dream come true.
“We’re delighted and privileged to be able to support such a wonderful organisation and we will continue to do so in the future.”
Tom Horsfield, Senior Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder Hospice, said: “Thank you to Select Car Leasing for organising this special match to raise vital funds for our hospice.
“We’re so grateful for the ongoing support from Select Car Leasing, which helps us to provide the expert and compassionate care we are so well-known for in the local community.”
