Reading FC have outlined their pre-season plans, with the squad spending a week at the national team headquarters.
Just three weeks after the culmination of the 2021/22 campaign, the club have announced that pre-season training will begin on Monday, June 20, just three days before fixture release day.
Although currently vague, they expect to play two matches at the SCL Stadium in the final two weeks before the season starts on Friday, July 29.
The first week of July is to scheduled to be at St Georges Park, the home of the England national teams.
Based on the outskirts of Burton-on-Trent, the 14-pitch facility opened in 2012 and is the base for the Three Lions first team and youth sdides, as well as the Lionesses.
So far there are just nine first team stars signed on for next season, although talks arew underway with an additional five.
Pre-season starts early this year, with the league beginning a week earlier to compensate for time lost during the winter World Cup in Qatar.
