Reading are to take on Europa League semi-finalists West Ham United at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in July ahead of the new season.
It is scheduled for a 3pm kick off on Saturday, July 16.
David Moyes’ side finished seventh in the Premier League and reached the final four of the secondary UEFA competition, losing to eventual winners Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Royals hosted the Irons in pre-season last year too, losing 3-0 with a side which included trialists such as Kyle Edwards and Ashraf Lazaar.
This will come just a week after their match with Benfica at St George’s Park, and three days before a trip to League Two AFC Wimbledon.

Before the visit of the Hammers, a behind-closed-door friendly with near neighbours Maidenhead United will take place at the Bearwood Training Ground, making it a busy fortnight with four matches in the run up to the new campaign.
Ticket details are set to be announced in due course for both the trip to Plough Lane and the visit of West Ham.
