Former Reading FC defender Liam Rosenior is "close" to being named new head coach of Championship side Blackpool.
Former full-back Rosenior has been a coach at troubled Derby County since 2019, becoming a highly-regarded first team coach under current boss Wayne Rooney in January 2021.
Former Pools manager Neil Critchley took the Tangerines from League One to a comfortable midtable finish in the Championship last season, but was head-hunted by Aston Villa manager Steve Gerrard to replace outgoing assistant manager Michael Beale.
Understand Blackpool are close to confirming Liam Rosenior as their new head coach. Has gone into 1/10 in the betting. Could be an excellent appointment. #BFC
