UPDATE: Police have identified the man officers wanted to speak to in relation to an assault in Castle Street, Reading, at around 12.15am on March 5.

Yesterday (14/6), Thames Valley Police released an image of a man officers wanted to speak to in relation to an assault in Castle Street, Reading, at around 12.15am on 5 March.

The man has been identified and the appeal has been removed.

A man was taken to hospital with a broken foot after being attacked by two men in Reading.

Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak with in connection with the assault, which occurred in Castle Street on March 5.

The victim, a man in his thirties, was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital for further treatment after the incident at 12.15am and he has since been discharged.

PC Natasha Black, of Reading CID, said: “I would like to appeal to anybody who recognises the man in this image to please get in touch as I believe he may have information in connection with this incident.

“Anyone else with information about the incident who has not already contacted us should also do so.
