The following cases were heard at Reading and Slough Magistrates’ Courts: 

June 15

BRENDAN RYCE, 21, of Blackwater Close, Spencers Wood, Reading, admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements following release from a period of imprisonment by failing to attend supervision appointment. Fined £100. 

June 16

KYLE KENNEDY, 34, of School Road, Tilehurst, convicted of two counts of assault in Rotherham between July 19 and on August 17, 2021. Also threatened to damage door of victim on August 17m 2021. Community order made. Requirement to take part in up to 25 days of rehabilitation activities and 100 hours of unpaid work. Restraining order made barring contact with victim. Must pay £180 in court fees. 

June 17

ROBERT BLACK, 53, of The Crescent, Reading, convicted of two counts of theft, namely stealing alcohol and meat worth £33.85 from Theale Co-operative on February 22, 2022, and March 5, 2022. Community order made. Requirement to take part in up to 20 days of rehabilitation activities. Must pay £180 in court fees. Excluded from Newbury Town Centre for 12 months.
