A 29-year-old thief who stole from travelers in Reading and Paddington train stations was jailed for almost a year.
Saad Khennouche, of Bayroute Court, London, stole a rucksack, a laptop and a suitcase from two people at Reading station on February 27, 2021.
He stole two suitcases in Paddington Railway Station, London, on December 27 and 31, 2020 belonging to two different people.

At Reading Magistrates Court on June 8, 2022, Khennouche was jailed for 48 weeks – 12 for each theft – due to what the judge called “a flagrant disregard for people and their property.”

The judge ordered Saad, formerly of Pentonville Prison, Caledonian Road, Islington, to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £156.
Saad pleaded guilty to the charges, having previously pleaded not guilty.
