A section of the Thames River footpath is closed for several weeks for resurfacing works.
The route closed on Tuesday between Horseshoe Bridge and Caversham Bridge.
The works include “vital resurfacing to improve and seal the path,” according to Reading Borough Council.

They will begin at the junction of the River Thames and River Kennet to King’s Meadow, before moving westward in sections.

-Thames Lido to Reading Bridge
-Christchurch Meadow Paddling pool to Caversham Bridge

Reading Borough council hope to begin work on the final section by July 8.
Diversions for each section will be in place during works.
