An altercation broke out in Reading town centre between a man and a group of men.
A 30-year-old man was arrested following the incident in Friar Street on Friday at 4.35pm on suspicion of assault by beating.
He has been released on bail and Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses.

Investigating officer, PC Benjamin Cunningham, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.
“If anyone has any information they can call 101 or make a report online, quoting reference 43220288966.
“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their website.”
