An illegal caravan encampment has been established in a park in Reading.
Evidence of fly-tipping has been spotted at the site in Waterloo Meadows, which borders a BMX park and children’s playground.
As of today (Sunday) four caravans and five vans have settled in the field.
A spokesperson for Reading Borough Council said: “We will visit the site and then begin the legal process for eviction.”

Plastic bottles, empty food containers, glass, bin bags and fabrics have been dumped around the site.
The area is a popular location for dog walkers in Katesgrove, situated next to the River Kennet and Waterloo Meadows Allotments.
