A READING man has been handed a huge fine after failing to possess a coronavirus testing package.
Ibraham Elabbas, of Underwood Road, arrived at Heathrow Airport on February 25, 2021, without the necessary Covid-19 equipment.
According to a court file, failing to provide a coronavirus testing package on arrival in England constituted a breach of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020.

Elabbas committed the offence when England was in its third national lockdown.
The 67-year-old was the subject of a court hearing at Greater Manchester Magistrates’ Court last month after being convicted via a single justice procedure.
Elabbas did not appear for his hearing, but he was fined £1,760.
The Reading man was also made to pay £176 in court costs and a £90 victim surcharge.
The hearing took place on Monday, June 27.
