A new sushi restaurant that opened in Reading town centre earlier this year hopes to open later and sell alcohol.
Intoku opened in Chain Street on Saturday, May 28, serving sushi, rolls, noodle and rice dishes and a selection of desserts, coffees, bubble teas and soft drinks to diners.
But so far it has been unable to sell alcoholic drinks.
Now, the company has applied to sell alcohol from Monday to Sunday from 12pm to 11.30pm.
It has also applied to sell food and cold drinks each day until 11.30pm as well – with the restaurant currently closing at 10pm each night.

Intoku is a small chain with its two other locations in Chelsea and Windsor.
Those locations currently serve cocktails, wines, spirits and beers to guests.
According to the menu, the spirits are sourced from Japan and the wines come from Italy.
Intoku’s aim to serve food, drink and alcohol until late has been submitted as a licensing application to Reading Borough Council.
