PICTURES and video show a police cordon in place after a teenager was stabbed in the chest while riding his bike.
The youngster suffered serious injuries but remains in a stable condition in hospital following the incident, which occurred at 3.25pm on Monday, July 4.
The man was allegedly assaulted by a tall light-skinned black male while riding his bike on the Kennetside Towpath near to Avon Place.
The force has not confirmed that any arrests have been made, however.
A Section 60 order is currently in place for East Reading until 6.40pm on Tuesday, July 5.
The order temporarily enhances powers for officers, meaning they can stop and search anyone in the area shown on the maps below.
