A Section 60 Order allows police officers greater powers to stop and search in a defined location.
The Order began at 6.30pm and will be in place until 1am tomorrow (July 10) and may be extended if necessary.
The force will be high visibility patrols in the area, so if anyone has any questions or concerns they should speak to an officer.
