A MAN has been taken to hospital and is in a 'serious condition' following a 'suspected explosion' in Upper Basildon.
The incident caused a fire at a residential property in Aldworth Road, Upper Basildon, last night (July 9).
Thames Valley Police were called to the scene at 10.42pm.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: "This was a suspected explosion which caused a fire at a residential property in Aldworth Road, Upper Basildon, to which we were called at 10.42pm.
"It is not believed to be suspicious.
"A man has been taken to hospital and is in a serious condition."
Mortimer Fire Station crews were also called to the scene.
