TikTok sensation Francis Bourgeois has been trainspotting at Tilehurst station. 

The social media star - who rose to fame for his first-person videos hailing vintage trains - was at the Reading station to wave in a 37688 ‘Great Rocks’ carriage.

The diesel-electric locomotive raced through Tilehurst, prompting Francis to post a short clip of himself waving down the special train. 

In a video, he said: “After a long day battling the Elizabeth Line and trainspotting in the sun, this is exactly what I needed.”

This caused the train eccentric to let out an excited cry as the vehicle zoomed past.
