A wildfire broke out in woods on the edge of Reading this morning (July 18).
Firefighters surrounded the blaze in Sulham Woods, near Sulham Hill, at 6am and fought to contain it for several hours.
This is the second wildfire in Berkshire within four days.
A spokesperson for Ryal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Wildfires generally take a while to extinguish and need to be carefully managed over a period of time to prevent them from spreading."
