Home Bargains is planning to open it’s second store in Reading.
The shop would replace Go Outdoors and SCS in Brunel Retail Park, combining both units into an outlet of more than 1,000 square metre outlet.
The company don’t need permission to amalgamate the sites, but they do need to apply for permission to sell their full product range.

This includes food and drink, household goods, toys and games, health and beauty products including medicines and baby products.

A council report deemed it the widening of the permitted goods that can be sold from units 4 and 5 acceptable for the reasons set out in this report.
The council are set to decide the fate of the store during a planning meeting on Wednesday.
Home Bargains already have a store in Reading Link Retail Park.
