Former Reading Academy star Omar Richards is set to miss the start of the Premier League season with new club Nottingham Forest after suffering a suspected hairline fracture.
The 24-year-old joined the newly promoted Reds this summer from European giants Bayern Munich, but is yet to make his debut for the Garibaldi's.
Speaking to the media, Forest boss Steve Cooper confirmed that the former England youth international will be out for a while.
“He’s not broken his leg," he emphasised. "He has picked up an injury, and we’re still getting to the bottom of it.

“It’s not going to be a few days, but it’s not months and months.”
Richards scored his first professional goal at the City Ground, for Reading, in 2018.
He went on to make more than 100 appearances for the Royals before joining the German champions in 2021.
After one season in the Budesliga, and 17 appearances, he has returned to England and his first shot at the top-flight.
