A NEW play area is set to have a makeover costing around £145,000.
Newbury Town Council approved the plans for the Fifth Road playground last week.
A new playhouse and multi-play unit and roundabout are planned, along with giant games panels, swings and see saws.

The low-level roundabout is specifically designed for the needs of users in wheelchairs.
A groove in its base allows a wheelchair to be secured while a child is transferred to the unit.
A safety surface will also be poured.
Last month, the town council approved costs of around £12,000 to backfill the play area with play bark.
