A 29-year-old man attacked a person in Bracknell and poured cooking oil all over their possessions.
The oil caused more than £1,000-worth of damage to the victim’s TV, laptop, cupboard and garden furniture.
At Reading Magistrates’ Court on July 15, Attila Vas, of Beamsley House, Bradford Road, Shipley, was sentenced to 16 weeks suspended for 12 months for causing actual bodily harm (ABH).

He was handed another six weeks suspended for 12 months for criminal damage to property.
Vas was found to have stolen a packet of cigarettes from his victim, but this did not earn him a separate penalty.

He committed the crimes on November 16, 2020, and initially pleaded not guilty to ABH before changing his plea.
He pleaded guilty to criminal damage at the first opportunity.
The judge ordered Vas to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £128 the day of the sentencing.
