Signing an extension with the Colchoneros until 2028, he is now spending the season in the top tier after Girona were promoted last season.
Owned by the City Group, the same holding company as Manchester City, Melbourne City and New York City, among others, he will now be playing alongside fellow former Championship sides Cristhian Stuani and Samuel Saiz.
