A 45-year-old man from Reading has been charged after a woman was stabbed in the neck outside a church.
The woman, aged in her forties, was rushed to Royal Berkshire Hospital after the attack by St Mary’s Church in Chain Street on July 4 at around 7.30pm.
Andrew Urquhart, of Mason Street, was charged with wounding with intent on July 14, in connection with the incident.

He was remanded in custody and appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on July 15, then returned to custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on August 15.
The woman has since been discharged from hospital.
