New signing Mamadou Loum is set for a Reading debut as he starts against Stevenage in the Carabao Cup.
Signed on loan from FC Porto, the holding midfielder was in London gaining his visa on Sunday and is now eligible for an appearance.
In total there are eight changes from the team which started in Saturday's 2-1 win over Cardiff City, competitive debuts for goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis and midfielder Basil Tuma.
The only players to keep their places from Saturday are captain Tom Holmes, midfielder Tyrese Fornah and left-back Nesta Guinness-Walker

League Two opponents Boro have also rung the changes, seven in total.
Royals Academy graduate Jake Taylor is on the bench for Steve Evans' side.
Midfielder Taylor made 36 appearances for his local side before joining Exeter City in 2016.
