A man accused of preventing the proper burial of the 46-year-old he allegedly murdered is set to stand trial.
Nyiah Williams, of Hadrian Walk East, Reading, was charged after Duane Denny, from Oxford Road, was found dead in Erith, London on September 15, 2021.
Denny had been reported missing in August 2021.
Williams, who was also 46 at the time of Denny’s discovery, was subsequently charged with murder, preventing a lawful burial and perverting the course of justice.
He denies the charges and is due to stand trial at Reading Crown Court starting on Monday, September 12.
The trial is expected to last four weeks.
Williams did not attend a pre-trial review hearing at the same court on Friday, August 12.
