A BODY has been found in the search for a missing man from Newbury.
The man's body was located in woodlands in Combe Gibbet by a search and rescue team at around 10.50pm last night (August 12).
Formal identification hasn't yet taken place but officers believe this to be the body of missing man, Benjamin, 23, from Newbury.
Superintendent James Hahn, said: “Very sadly last night a body was discovered and we have informed Benjamin’s family of this.
“They are being offered support and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, but we do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances at this time.
“We would like to thank the Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue Team who supported us in our search activity and the ongoing support they provide to the Force.”
