Reading have announced that they are to wear black armbands during tonight's clash with Blackburn Rovers in memory of former Rovers owner Jack Walker and player Lenny Johnrose.
Marking 22 years to the day since the former steel magnate passed away, he will be remembered alongside Johnrose at the SCL Stadium tonight.
Walker, owner of Walkersteel from 1951 until 1989, took charge of Rovers from 1991 until 2000- famously rebuilding most of Ewood Park and funding their assault on the Premier League.
Our players will stand together with @Rovers this evening and wear black armbands as a mark of respect for both former Blackburn owner Jack Walker and former Rovers player Lenny Johnrose 🔵⚪ https://t.co/mrLBWdvk9Y

Winning the top-flight in 1994 with the likes of Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton, the Lancashire club spent almost the entirety of his time with the club in the Premiership.
He now has a statue, a stand and a road named after him around the stadium.
Johnrose was tragically diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2017 and passed away just two days ago aged 52.
Starting his career with Rovers in 1988, he played more than 50 times for the club before having three spells with rivals Burnley and another with fellow rivals Preston North End.
