An inquest has been opened into the death of a 19-year-old who passed away following an incident in Tilehurst.
Sheldon Lewcock died on August 9, 2022, at John Radcliffe Hospital after a collision with a van on Pierces Hill, Tilehurst, on Thursday, August 4.

A 17-year-old boy from Reading is set to appear at Reading Crown Court on Monday, August 22, charged with attempted murder.
An 18-year-old boy, Kayden Williams, of Don Close, Tilehurst, has been charged with wounding without intent and assault and is also set to appear at the same court next week.
Opening the inquest into Sheldon’s death, Berkshire senior coroner Heidi Connor said a post-mortem had been conducted following the 19-year-old’s passing, but no proposed cause of death had yet been given.
Ms Connor adjourned the hearing to allow police investigations to continue.
The coroner paid her condolences to Sheldon’s family and friends at the opening of the inquest at Reading Coroner’s Court on Wednesday, August 17.
