Reading Festival have announced Charli XCX and AJ Tracey will be performing.

The news comes after Jack Harlow and rock band Maneskin pulled out of the event to play the MTV music awards in the US.

Reading Festival bosses said in a statement: “We are saddened to hear that Jack Harlow and Maneskin have decided to perform at an award show the same weekend they were confirmed to play Reading and Leeds."

The withdrawals were confirmed just days after headliners Rage Against The Machine were forced to pull out due to a ‘medical issue.’

They have now been replaced by the 1975.
