A SUSPECT was pinned to the ground in a citizens arrest after allegedly riding a motorbike along pavement near Reading.
Thames Valley Police has thanked members of the public who stepped in to help detain two people reportedly spotted driving on the pavement.
“The Newbury Neighbourhood Policing team would like to thank members of public who detained two males on Andover Road, Newbury this evening, after riding a motorcycle on a pavement,” said Thames Valley Police in a statement on Facebook.
It happened about 6pm yesterday (August 19).

The force confirmed an arrest was made in connection with the incident.
Jordan House, 21, of Heathlands, Newbury, was charged with one count each of using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He was bailed to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on October 4, where he will also face a charge of one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in relation to a separate incident in Deadmans Lane, Thatcham, on July 27.

Thames Valley Police also said a 17-year-old boy, from Basingstoke, was found in possession of cannabis.
He was given a 'community resolution'.
